ABOUT ME
Noelene Nash was brought up beside Bilboa bridge in County Limerick but moved to the outskirts of Limerick city when she was fifteen. After completing a secretarial course she lived for a short time in London and on returning home gave into her creative side by training as a florist, gaining an Interflora diploma and working at various florists around the city before owning her own business. Noelene made the decision to become a full-time mother and sold her business to work at home. Having children reignited her love for literature, storytelling, poetry and the desire to write.
She studied Writing Skills for Journalism, and Creative Writing at Limerick Senior College. Wanting to look at writing from all angles she went on to study Modern and Contemporary American Poetry online with Penn University, and two Script Writing courses at the Limerick Writers Centre.
Noelene's work has been published in various anthologies, the Irish Independent, Stanzas chapbooks, American Magazine, Origins and she has read her poetry in the Hunt Museum and regularly at On The Nail literary evenings.
Imagine It Creative Writing Club is her way of passing on her passion for creativity which, she says is wonderfully contagious when given a respectful unrestricted space. Children soar to new heights when told there are no wrong answers and they are free to think for themselves. She is very proud of the Imagine It Club because it gives a sense of belonging to creative children who too often feel that they don't fit in.
